What makes Tru Engineering Different?
Tru Engineering is a sole owner/operator firm. No employees, no hand-offs, full ownership of every project.
One of the reasons Alex wanted to create Tru Engineering was to not only be the point of contact for every project, but to be the main designer as well. When you hire Tru Engineering, you won’t be handed off to a junior engineer or passed around between multiple team members. Your project will receive the full attention of a professional who also handles the design, coordination, and construction administration. Nothing to get lost in translation, no long games of “telephone”.
However, we do recognize that there are times large projects require more minds and hands to do the work. Tru Engineering has bench of highly skilled sub-consultants ready to assist on large and/or highly complex projects such as hospitals, campus, or industrial work.
Owner
Alex Trulove, PE
A native to central Arkansas, Alex Trulove grew up in a family that prioritized faith, family, and service. He was exposed at an early age to the construction industry through his grandfather, a road work and residential contractor. While, he thought he would go into the medical field like so many of his family members, he continued to be regularly involved in construction, from house-building mission trips, to habitat for humanity, to helping his dad and grandfather build their family home after school in 9th grade. These experiences, along with his love for math and science, eventually landed him at Arkansas Tech in the Mechanical Engineering Program.
After a short year in California, Alex was able to move back to Arkansas and begin work at Little Rock based engineering firm. He continued to develop his skills in mechanical engineering, eventually obtaining partnership and his Professional Engineering (PE) license. While this was a wonderful company with incredible people to work with, Alex had drifted further away from the design and problem solving that got him interested in engineering in the first place.
In 2021, Tru Engineering was started with the goal of getting back to design and being able to work one-on-one with each and every client.
Alex is married to his beautiful wife, Alicia, and lives in Searcy, Arkansas, with their 4 children. While home-schooling their 4 children keeps most of their free-time busy, Alex and Alicia enjoy fellowshipping with their church, traveling, and having friends and family over for a good home-cooked meal.
